The Gardens
Yorkton Memorial Gardens, located just east of Yorkton on Highway 10, is one of only five privately-owned cemeteries in the province.
The well-landscaped 30-acre site offers a serene setting for the interments which have taken place there.
The cemetery is divided into nine Gardens, including those carrying the names of the four Apostles

The Garden of Devotion
The Garden of Tranquility
The Memorial Gardens are more than 30 acres in size, and more than 3,000 interments have taken place there in its history, which spans six decades.
Fully compliant with provincial perpetual care requirements, which ensure that the cemetery will continue to be maintained to a high standard in years to come, the Gardens have sufficient space to serve the Yorkton community and district well beyond the next century.
Most of the Memorial Gardens have lawn-level memorials, many of them are also marked by flowers. The Garden of Gethsemane is a section for the more traditional upright granite memorials, for those who prefer that style of commemoration.
A pond and fountain, together with a large memorial and park benches, are featured in the Garden of Memories, an area where cremated remains are interred. Nearby, there are outdoor columbariums.

Earth Burial
Available in all areas in the cemetery. Options include:
- Lawn-level Bronze
- Upright Memorials (headstones)
Columbarium Niche
Available in our outdoor cremation garden – Garden of Memories
- Accommodates one or two urns
Scattering Memorialization
Available in our outdoor cremation garden – Garden of Memories.
- Includes bronze name and date strip on bronze plaque
Prairieview Indoor Columbarium
Located inside of Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. Niches accommodate one to four single or companion urns.
Nature Rocks & Benches
Available in all areas of the cemetery. Some are cored to contain urns.
Additional Memorialization Options
Personal Columbariums
Various sizes & styles available.
- Columbariums accommodate two to four urns.
Birdbaths & Birdbath Estate Features
Available in all areas of the cemetery.
- Cored to contain urns.
- Can be added to an existing bronze memorial.
